Julie M. Gebhardt is a Physician Assistant, Chief Operating Officer and Administrator of American River Home Care. Julie has over 22 years of experience as a Physician Assistant and Certified Diabetes Educator. She has been a healthcare team member in various settings including large medical centers, health maintenance organizations, and private medical offices. She has experience in specialty disciplines in Primary Care, Endocrinology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Emergency Medicine at a level one trauma center.
Julie brings her experience of being an Adult and Geriatric Physician Assistant in a Hospitalist position at a Long-Term Care (LTC) Facility and Rehabilitation Center, where she performed medical evaluations for over 180 LTC and Acute Rehab patients. She was involved in the plan of care and discharge planning for all residents in her care. She was also responsible for the education of staff nurses, patients, and patient families for acute and chronic conditions. She helped manage acute resources, Palliative Care, and End of Life Care.With her leadership and years of experience, the transition to be a part of the American River Home Care family was an easy decision for Julie to make.
Julie is originally from Orange County. She relocated to Northern California after meeting her husband in 2002. She enjoys spending time with family and traveling with her husband and two boys.
